The only problem with small script is that in a few years your lines will get thicker and if your lines are to close together to begin with, then everything will bleed together making it unreadable. This is something that you would only know from experience. If an artist tells you he can do it small and that there will be no problems in the future with it holding up, he's either ignorant about it or just doesn't care about what it'll look like in the future. Some people are only in this for the money and will tell you anything.
